Scarlett - One Year Old

Scarlett Grace Ingram
One year old
19 pounds - 35th percentile
29 inches - 63rd percentile

Scarlett is one! Just saying that is crazy to me. I can still vividly remember the day that she was born and it really does not seem like it has been one whole year! She has changed in so many ways over the year from her looks to her personality. She is the sassiest one year old I know!

Scarlett's favorites-

1. Me. Haha. But really she is a momma's girl and usually clings to me unless either of the grandma's are around. She is obsessed with her grandma's and if they are in her sight she will fuss until she is in their arms. I love that she loves me so much because I love her SO much. We are BFFs and I hope that it stays that way forever. But in reality it probably will be over once the goods are gone lol.

2. She loves to be able to walk around and do what she wants WHEN she wants. She started walking at 11 months and ever since she has been a wild animal wandering wherever her heart desires. I love to see her explore new things and do it on her own. You can just see how happy and proud she is of herself and it makes me so happy. But if she isn't able to do these things when she wants then the sass really comes out and she will let you have it.

3. She loves all of her stuffed animals. It use to amaze me how many stuffed animals I would see little kids have, but now I know the struggle. Scarlett's new thing is to get as many of her stuffed toys she can into her arms and then walk around as she hugs them as close as she possibly can to herself.

4. SUGAR. She gets that from me. So far this month she has had SO much cake because of all of our birthdays. So now whenever she spots a cake she will do whatever she has to do to get to the cake. The other week me and Tay got sugar cookies and couldn't finish them. We set them on the table and walk away. We look back to see Scarlett literally HANGING by her hands as she grabbed onto the table to try to get the cookie. It was the proudest moment of my life. JK but it was impressive.

5. Her favorite REAL food right now is mac n' cheese, or any other kind of pasta for that matter. Pizza, who wouldn't love pizza? One night she ate a piece and a half and I couldn't believe my eyes. And avocados! We love carbs!

6. Mickey Mouse, Winnie the Pooh, and Monsters University!

7. Books. I love reading books with her because she cuddles me on my lap and we just chat while she flips through the pages. We could do it all day long.

8. BATHS! No matter where she is, if she hears the bath tub go off she immediately stops what she is doing and heads straight for the bathroom. Then she stands by the tub and waits for me to get her undressed (the only time she lets me without running off).

Scarlett's dislikes-

1. Men, especially strange men. I'm hoping this dislike stays around for a long while.

2. Getting dressed/undressed. Every day as soon as I go to get her out of her pj's she senses what is about to happen and jets off as fast as she can! So it always ends up with me pinning her down until I get her undressed and dressed again and her screaming bloody murder until i'm done. Then she gets up and walks away like nothing happened.

3. Vacuums. Just hates everything about them haha.

She really doesn't have too many dislikes right now. She is such a great baby/toddler? No that's too weird… She is in the super shy stage right now, but that's okay because it just means more love to me. I am trying to soak in every cuddle, every book read, every feed, everything! Time is passing too fast and I need it to just freeze. I love being Scarlett's mom and I love to spend every second with her!
